To Iquique and beyond
We pulled over about 20 minutes outside of Iquique on our way up to Arica, the border town. This beautiful landbridge housed massive flocks of birds. The sea had eroded the cliffs and revealed layers of centuries of different rock formations and sand. One of the layers consisted of old compressed, bleached shells. It was a great reminder of how old this planet is and how young we are.
